Full Circle Wood Bag

A sculptural wooden bag designed as a meeting point between craftsmanship, material experimentation and functional design. With its rounded full-circle form, this piece reflects the ROOTED collection’s connection to trees, natural structure and organic volume.

Developed in collaboration with wood artist Rolands Sīpols, the bag was created through a process of layering and pressing ash veneer over a custom-made mould in order to achieve a sphere-like shape.

Throughout the making process, small air bubbles and surface tensions occasionally created subtle splits and irregularities. Rather than being removed, these marks were embraced as part of the object’s character, giving each piece a more singular and expressive finish.

The full-circle silhouette feels bold and complete, while the macramé construction softens the form and brings flexibility to the design. The result is a bag that combines wood, handwork and function in one striking object – structured yet light, artistic yet usable.

To preserve the structure, finish and handcrafted details of the bag, handle gently and avoid exposure to moisture, direct heat and strong impact. Store carefully to maintain its shape over time.
