Half Circle Wood Bag

A wooden bag designed to balance sculptural form, lightness and everyday functionality. Inspired by the visual language of trees and natural forms, this piece brings together handcrafted technique and experimental construction in a way that feels both artistic and wearable.

Created as part of the ROOTED collection, the bag was developed with the intention of translating the character of wood into an accessory that remains light, practical and visually striking. Made in collaboration with wood artist Rolands Sīpols, the design emerged through an experimental process of shaping thin ash veneer layers into a rounded form.

Rather than hiding the irregularities that appeared during production, the subtle imperfections became part of the final identity of the piece, giving it depth, individuality and a more organic presence.

The half-circle silhouette offers a lighter, more open interpretation of the original concept. Combined with macramé detailing, it creates a strong contrast between structure and softness a bag that feels tactile, expressive and grounded in craftsmanship.
